My Role: Full Stack Web Developer

Project Overview: This not-for-profit website is designed to help Australian high school graduates explore their careers using open data resources. Features include exploring specific jobs across industries, searching for jobs, evaluating skills based on algorithms, evaluating interview videos with trained AI models, and sending emails. We adopt the Agile development model with 3 iterations, fully collect and verify the needs of users, and constantly redesign, develop, test and deploy according to feedback.

My Job: There are 5 members in the team, and I am mainly responsible for the whole website architecture design, UI design and database design. During the development stage, I am responsible for the front-end implementation of the whole webpage, including interactive visualization, subdivision of animation effects for various types of work, recapture robot verification, and consideration of website barrierfree environment. The back-end mainly completes the collation and sending of basic data, and the realization of the function of sending emails. At the end of each iteration I was responsible for updating the website deployment to the Amazon cloud, the configuration of the domain name and the configuration of the security certificate https. In addition, I am responsible for the writing of technical documentation, configuration documentation, and working closely with the back-end algorithm team to keep pace.

2. Analysis and Visualization of Australian data science job market demand

My Role: Data engineer

Project Overview: The project examines the distribution of data science jobs across every continent in Australia, exploring which jobs are most available for data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists, and analyzing the demand for each role in different situations. In addition, the different core skills required for different jobs are explored.

My Job: I used d3.js to build state choropleth, Sortable and stacked bar chart, hot spots Map(Google Map API), Word Cloud, tree diagram.

3. yourRacipes: Food Recipes Android App

Project Overview: This is a food recipe Android app designed to help people find the recipes they want, create their own recipes, recipe statistics, map display, share to Facebook. With fixed requirements, we developed this app using the waterfall model.

My Job: There are four members in the team. I am mainly responsible for the design of app architecture, UI design, Firebase cloud database configuration and storage of user information, user registration and login functions, address auto-filling, recipe search and map display functions using API.

4. Volunteer Mobile App

Project Overview: We designed a volunteer mobile app to help people find and apply for volunteer jobs. The main functions are to search volunteer jobs by category, apply for jobs, forum blog, chat and communication functions.

My Job: There are four members in the team. I am mainly responsible for the description of personas user representative diagram, search work, and page design of the entire application process, fully applying the design theory of Norman and Shneiderman and the baccessibility principles by WCAG. And use Heuristic to evaluate the usability of this high-fidelity design.
